When I got to college I wished I had learned shorthand.
Quite progressive for 1905, to add a typewriter room. Now we have a PC desk in most hotels.
I briefly considered learning shorthand when I was in college studying journalism. Ultimately, I felt knowing how to type (I’m a touch typer) was enough. But, there were moments when I was interviewing people that I regretted not having a faster method of note-taking.
